Subscription-based model is now available on Squarespace
Say, are you in the beauty or health industry and you want to offer products that are sold on a recurring basis? This is now possible on Squarespace!
This is a huge improvement from Squarespace as I’ve had clients in the past who have wanted to create subscriptions and now, they can!
Here’s the run-down on this new feature:
You must purchase the Commerce Advanced Plan
You must enable Customer Accounts
You must be selling physical or service products
Stripe is the only option for payment as of now.
Subscriptions are important to many people especially if you’re in the beauty & health industry. You might be selling products that clients want to be getting frequently so offering a subscription cuts time in between and it’s a win-win for both, especially for the merchant because you’ll be receiving a recurring revenue.
What is a subscription-based business model?
Many of the subscription-based businesses that come to mind are in the beauty & health industry. Such as Birchbox, Ipsy, The Bless Box, Blue Apron, FabFitFun, Dollar Shave Club. These companies are just some of many that have followed the subscription-based business model and you could be one too!
How do they work?
These companies run their businesses by having their customers subscribe to their products or offerings on a monthly basis some companies even do three-month trials to entice their customers to join. It’s a great way to create recurring revenue for businesses.
If you were iffy about joining Squarespace because this feature wasn’t offered, you don’t have to think twice anymore! Now that Squarespace is offering this in their Advanced Commerce plan there’s no reason to not start!
